User rights management

The product has a simple user rights management system.

Define users' access rights for the selected folder by double-clicking the user or use "Change Rights" button for any user from the list of participants available in the Management Panel.

The program will allow any user with any access rights to make any changes (create, modify, delete) to the shared or synchronized folder. The difference between the types of user access rights is in how the changes made by the users will propagate to other sharers' PCs and what rights a user has to make the changes to the shared folders settings.

The selected sharer's access rights are located under the "Rights" column and can be changed to:

  1. All changes (edit, delete existing items, or add new ones) made by a user with "Full" rights in the selected shared folder are sent (shared) to all the folder's sharers and will be propagated to their PCs.*

  2. The user can change other users rights

  3. The user can change the shared folder settings

  1. All changes made by users with the "View" rights in a selected synchronized folder are not sent (not shared) to other folder sharers.

  2. The user can not change other users' rights

  3. The user can not change the shared folder settings

In addition to users' access rights you can use the shared/synchronized folder settings that allow to managing of what is being shared with other users including updates received from them.

 

* Except the option "Do not delete if deleted by other user", that can be controlled by other users with the same full rights access.
